How ARe the ph levels affected ?
The level of pH in your stomach is at a level 4 or 5.When a contaminated food is infested, the pH levels starts to gradually decrease reaching a pH level of 1.As the body fights to get rid of the contaminated food by either causing vomiting or diarrhea, the pH levels starts to slowly increase back to its regular pH level. This process happens when Bio carbonate (a base) which is produced by the pancreas comes into contact with stomach acid (acid) in a chemical reaction. The acid then
neutralizes the base causing the pH level to change back to a level 4 or 5 on the pH scale. At this point, the body would have completely removed the contaminated substance and the contaminated food would no longer be a threat to the system. |
